Whispering Death Skeleton

Description

The Whispering Death isn't really based on anything. It's just off the top of my head, to be honest.

Anyway, let's start with the head. The skull of the Whispering Death is big but light, although it might not seem like it. Because of the size of the mouth, there isn't actually much skull needed.

The six rows of rotating teeth within the mouth aren't actually attached to the skull, in the true sense of the word. While in the egg, the rotating teeth grow as any other, attached to the jaw bone. When it's near ready to hatch, the bone the teeth are attached to get separated into thin rotating sections that can bend with the mouth opening and closing. The rotating is caused by special muscles in the mouth. (Just go with it)

The wings can, according to what the vikings believe, rotate. Obviously, that's impossible when they're attached to skin and flesh that can't spin like that. So I just won't go into that, because honestly, I couldn't come up with an explanation for it.

The rib cage of this dragon is very small and compact, with the heart and lungs protected by the thick bones. This dragon has a very strong heart with an extraordinarily fast beat to pump blood to every inch of the long serpentine body. All other organs are 90% outside the cage.

With 217 (yes, I counted) bones in the tail, the Whispering Death has an extremely flexible-and extremely dangerous-whip that makes up over two thirds of its length, and has the ability to shoot razor sharp spines from anywhere on it.

With sunlight being its only weakness, this dragon is among the most deadly of the dragon species.
